the leaders of Israel, heads of their fathers' houses, the leaders of the tribes, who were over those who were numbered, (Numbers 7,2)

and those men said to him, "We are unclean through touching the dead body of a man; why are we kept from offering the LORD's offering at its appointed time among the people of Israel?" (Numbers 9,7)

Now two men remained in the camp, one named Eldad, and the other named Medad, and the spirit rested upon them; they were among those registered, but they had not gone out to the tent, and so they prophesied in the camp. (Numbers 11,26)

These were those numbered by Moses and Elea'zar the priest, who numbered the people of Israel in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho. (Numbers 26,63)
