And God said, "Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit; you shall have them for food. (Genesis 1,29)

And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, "You may freely eat of every tree of the garden; (Genesis 2,16)

but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall die." (Genesis 2,17)

Now the serpent was more subtle than any other wild creature that the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, "Did God say, `You shall not eat of any tree of the garden'?" (Genesis 3,1)

but God said, `You shall not eat of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, neither shall you touch it, lest you die.'" (Genesis 3,3)

But the serpent said to the woman, "You will not die. (Genesis 3,4)

For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil." (Genesis 3,5)

But the LORD God called to the man, and said to him, "Where are you?" (Genesis 3,9)

He said, "Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten of the tree of which I commanded you not to eat?" (Genesis 3,11)

Then the LORD God said to the woman, "What is this that you have done?" The woman said, "The serpent beguiled me, and I ate." (Genesis 3,13)

The LORD God said to the serpent, "Because you have done this, cursed are you above all cattle, and above all wild animals; upon your belly you shall go, and dust you shall eat all the days of your life. (Genesis 3,14)

I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel." (Genesis 3,15)
