The man gave names to all cattle, and to the birds of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for the man there was not found a helper fit for him. (Genesis 2,20)

And Abraham ran to the herd, and took a calf, tender and good, and gave it to the servant, who hastened to prepare it. (Genesis 18,7)

So Abraham took sheep and oxen and gave them to Abim'elech, and the two men made a covenant. (Genesis 21,27)
