And Moses said to Joshua, "Choose for us men, and go out, fight with Am'alek; tomorrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in my hand." (Exodus 17,9)

So Joshua did as Moses told him, and fought with Am'alek; and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill. (Exodus 17,10)

And Joshua mowed down Am'alek and his people with the edge of the sword. (Exodus 17,13)

And the LORD said to Moses, "Write this as a memorial in a book and recite it in the ears of Joshua, that I will utterly blot out the remembrance of Am'alek from under heaven." (Exodus 17,14)

So Moses rose with his servant Joshua, and Moses went up into the mountain of God. (Exodus 24,13)

When Joshua heard the noise of the people as they shouted, he said to Moses, "There is a noise of war in the camp." (Exodus 32,17)

Thus the LORD used to speak to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. When Moses turned again into the camp, his servant Joshua the son of Nun, a young man, did not depart from the tent. (Exodus 33,11)

And Joshua the son of Nun, the minister of Moses, one of his chosen men, said, "My lord Moses, forbid them." (Numbers 11,28)

These were the names of the men whom Moses sent to spy out the land. And Moses called Hoshe'a the son of Nun Joshua. (Numbers 13,16)

And Joshua the son of Nun and Caleb the son of Jephun'neh, who were among those who had spied out the land, rent their clothes, (Numbers 14,6)

not one shall come into the land where I swore that I would make you dwell, except Caleb the son of Jephun'neh and Joshua the son of Nun. (Numbers 14,30)

But Joshua the son of Nun and Caleb the son of Jephun'neh remained alive, of those men who went to spy out the land. (Numbers 14,38)
