And shall bear his iniquity, because he hath defiled the holy thing of the Lord, and that soul shall perish from among his people. (Leviticus 19,8)

The soul that shall go aside after magicians, and soothsayers, and shall commit fornication with them, I will set my face against that soul, and destroy it out of the midst of its people. (Leviticus 20,6)

Therefore do you also separate the clean beast from the unclean, and the clean fowl from the unclean: defile not your souls with beasts, or birds, or any things that move on the earth, and which I have shewn you to be unclean. (Leviticus 20,25)

Upon the tenth day of this seventh month shall be the day of atonement, it shall be most solemn, and shall be called holy: and you shall afflict your souls on that day, and shall offer a holocaust to the Lord. (Leviticus 23,27)

Every soul that is not afflicted on this day, shall perish from among his people: (Leviticus 23,29)

And every soul that shall do any work, the same will I destroy from among his people. (Leviticus 23,30)

It is a sabbath of rest, and you shell afflict your souls beginning on the ninth day of the month: from evening until evening you shall celebrate your sabbaths. (Leviticus 23,32)

I will set my tabernacle in the midst of you, and my soul shall not cast you off. (Leviticus 26,11)

Said to them: We are unclean by occasion of the soul of a man. Why are we kept back that we may not offer in its season the offering to the Lord among the children of Israel? (Numbers 9,7)
