And behold one that had escaped told Abram the Hebrew, who dwelt in the vale of Mambre the Amorrhite, the brother of Escol, and the brother of Aner: for these had made league with Abram. (Genesis 14,13)

And he brought back all the substance, and Lot his brother, with his substance, the women also the people. (Genesis 14,16)

And Sarai said to Abram: Thou dost unjustly with me: I gave my handmaid into thy bosom, and she perceiving herself to be with child, despiseth me. The Lord judge between me and thee. (Genesis 16,5)

And again: Behold, said he, thou art with child, and thou shalt bring forth a son: and thou shalt call his name Ismael, because the Lord hath heard thy affliction. (Genesis 16,11)

And God said to him: I AM, and my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father. of many nations. (Genesis 17,4)

And God said to Abraham: Sara thy wife shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name Isaac, and I will establish my covenant with him for a perpetual covenant, and with his seed after him. (Genesis 17,19)
